Finally the winter cover is installed. In the spring, the winter cover is taken off, plumbing lines are reopened and the equipment is put back into operation.
Either woven fabrine or 16-mil vinyl water bagged or beaded lock lock-in are normally used. Another option is a winter safety cover that is put on every fall and removed in the spring. Electric covers allows you to cover the pool automatically, year round. The electric cover is about six times the cost of the safety cover. However, it creates savings on chemicals and heating costs.
The pump has the highest electrical draw and could run between $200 and $500 per season. The electrical costs for the lights, salt/chlorine generator and heater are nominal. Fuel costs for the heater could be as low as $500 and could reach thousands depending on the factors listed above.

Access for the excavation of the swimming pool and surrounding area is based upon clear access. This includes a standard backhoe excavator to access the desired location and deposit the excavated earth directly into a dump truck for removal. Our price includes obtaining a building permit for the In-ground swimming pool within the G.T.A. within normal or average conditions and compliance with temporary fence requirements around the excavation for safety purposes. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide any deposits required for grading, curbs, sidewalks and trees etc. Other issues that may need to be addressed could include; geo-engineering evaluation, letters and or drawings, conservation authority clearance, certain tree preservation, access through public or private lands not owned by the client, committee of adjustment preparation and proceedings, acquisition of minor variances, un-assumed lots, etc. The homeowner is also responsible for providing the necessary association approval letters.
